Natural Waste Water Process

We are proud to announce receiving European Waste Water Systems conformity allowing us to export our systems to the EU from where we have had huge interest.
Our waste water systems do not require additional enzyme dosing. We just stimulate the existing nutrients and bacteria in the fluid to do what they do best…breakdown the contents.
The simplified process to the left shows in summarised form the process.It is imperative to the process that the septic tank and system are correctly sized for peak daily volume.

Our 2 stage sanitsation process ensures bacteria free recycled water. Super oxygenation is applied in the aerobic stage eliminating any active bacteria.
Overflow is then chlorinated to give end to end protection to the recycled water tanks, ready for irrigation or Grey water application

How Sewage Waste Water Processing works

Sewage waste water has evolved from a simple long drop to more sophisticated and safer systems able to convert night soils into recycled water suitable for washing of cars, patios or re-use in toilets and urinals .

With additional multi-stage membrane processing the waste water can further be purified for drinking purposes, by adding Reverse Osmosis water purification. Before this final step can be made it is necessary to have the recycled effluent tested at a laboratory to ensure that the chemical content of the waste water is suitable for purification to drinking water standards. Normally permission must be granted by the local health department for this step….this permission is often ignored in South Africa as bureaucratic delays can run to years.

Grey water that is pumped back into the house requires that a completely different set of piping is used and clearly marked as non-potable. The coluring
of this piping is usually purple. Where the grey water runs into the potable sections must be separated by an air gap so that, if there is any bacteria in the grey water, it cannot contaminate the clean potable water.

Of course, if the recycled water has been purified with reverse osmosis and the supply line is protected end to end with chemical sanitiser and tested, and shown to be safe, then separate piping is not required.
